One of the first activities for CARARE in the 5DCulture project was a visit by Henk Alkemade to the University Research Institute for Iberian Archaeology (University of Jaén).
The re-use case of 3D models of Iberian Archaeological objects for 5DCulture was discussed and the new 3D capturing equipment demonstrated by the technical staff. Henk Alkemade presented both the 5DCulture project and his views on the role of the (pre-)historical landscape as both cultural and natural heritage to students and staff members.
During his visit, Henk was taken by Alberto Sánchez Vizcaino and Carmen Rueda Galán to see the "real thing" at a nearby Iberian site, the oppidum of Puente Tablas, and the collections of Iberian artefacts held in two museums in the beautiful city of Jaén.
