The Europeana Archaeology Vocabulary Service was developed by the project to enable organisations and aggregators to enrich the metadata being provided to Europeana for the digital archaeological and architectural heritage. The tool

• Upload of EDM datasets
• Extraction of subjects, place names and periods from EDM datasets
• Creation of vocabulary mappings
• Import of existing vocabulary mappings
• Enrichment of EDM datasets using vocabulary mappings
• Export of enriched EDM datasets and vocabulary mappings

This five minute video introduces the Vocabulary Service and demonstrates how to upload a dataset, create a mapping, import a mapping and enrich the dataset.

The Vocabulary Service was developed as open source and the code can be found on GitHub.

The code has now been incorporated into the Repox Flow platform which forms part of CARARE's Aggregation Services.
